Meals on Wheels America is the largest national association representing senior nutrition programs across the country. Meals on Wheels was previously using QuickBooks but was very limited by the system’s grant management capabilities. Tracking of restricted grant funds was very labor intensive, as funds had to be tracked outside the financial system in Excel and then reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Meals on Wheels switched to Sage Intacct, enabling the finance team to streamline and automate grant fund tracking, as well as several other business processes.
